New Orleans property assessment rolls now open – New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans, Louisiana 2021-07-19 07:56:00 –

The City of New Orleans has opened its asset valuation role. This is the period during which the homeowner can know the value of his property. Over the past few years, evaluation rolls have only been open for a week for public inspection, leading to long lines and astonishment. The evaluation period has been extended to about a month, extending it to give people time to come in, review and ask questions. Promises to meet with the assessor’s staff to discuss real estate valuations can be made online or directly. Bring-in will be displayed on a first-come, first-served basis based on the number of reservations available for the day. If you wish to challenge the assessment, you can file a formal opposition to the Review Board until August 12. Forms and other information can be found on the New Orleans Assessors website. The Open Roll location of the Orleans Parish Councilor’s Office is the City Hall on the 4th floor of Perdido Street, the Algiers Courthouse on Morgan Street, and the Lakeview Christian Center on Fleur de Lys. The open roll process ends at 4 pm on August 16th. The deadline for filing an appeal is 4:00 pm on August 19.
