New reported cases of coronavirus continue to fall in Kansas – Wichita, Kansas

Topeka, Kansas (KSNW) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment states that 1,820 new cases of the coronavirus have occurred in Kansas since Wednesday. Since its peak in early September, the number of new cases has continued to decline.

KDHE reported a total of 14 new deaths across the state since the pandemic began 6,165. There have been 80 new hospitalizations since the last update. KDHE does not track recovery.

KDHE also updated the number of Kansas states vaccinated with COVID-19 since Wednesday.

  • An additional 3,872 Kansas received the first dose
  • An additional 2,884 people received a second dose
  • And 6,467 people received the third dose

62.33 of the Kansas states eligible for COVID-19 vaccination. % Have received at least one vaccination and 55.73% have completed the vaccine series.
