New research claims that the fossils of the dinosaur era, foretold as the first four-legged snake known in science, could actually be a completely different beast.

A small fossil with a pencil length of 7.7 inches (19.5 cm) in length is probably a Dolichosaurus, an now extinct marine iguana with a living elongated body in between. Cretaceous (145-66 million years ago), research researchers discovered.
