ST. Louise, Missouri (KMOV.com) – We have a doubleheader this Mother’s Day weekend, as we continue to draw from the 1978 archive.
Seeing one of St. Louis’ hottest new attractions in the spring of 1978, we are soaring in the air at a height of 250 feet.
On May 3, 1978, former News4 reporter Kathi McDonald featured a “Sun-Day” event aimed at promoting solar energy. The concept at the time was quite novel, but St. Louis has come a long way.Ameren Missouri has them installed The first solar facility in South City.
As we were preparing to celebrate Mother’s Day, the popular children’s show DB’s Delight aired a special segment. DB’s Delight was a quiz show featuring students from schools in the St. Louis area. We handed the KMOV Mike to a student at the Christ Community Lutheran School named Mary Fisher. Mary Fisher interviewed her classmates about Mother’s Day plans.
