New Hampshire teenagers are believed to have saved their lives 800 miles away.
Like most 13-year-olds, Caden Cotnoir spends a lot of time on social media. On Sunday, his screen time changed unexpectedly.
He was watching a four-wheel live adventure on TikTok when he saw 12-year-old Trent Jarrett abandon his ATV and start screaming at his home in West Virginia.
In a video sent by Koto Noir’s family to NBC10 Boston, you can hear Jarrett deflated for a few minutes.
“I can hardly breathe, someone calls 911,” says a boy in West Virginia.
“That was probably the hardest part. I could hear him just by praying that someone was there to help him,” Koto Noir said.
As soon as Jarrett began repeating the 10-digit phone number, Koto Noir took action.
“At that time, I thought we could do something about it,” he said.
He brought his cell phone to his mother and stepfather, a police chief in Gilmanton, New Hampshire.
“We were finally able to write down this number and make a call,” said Chief Matthew Currier.
They arrived at the boy’s family within 20 minutes. They say Jarrett’s parents found him on a trail trapped under his ATV. He had difficulty breathing, but was otherwise intact.
“He called me late that night and continued to thank me, he said he wanted to give me all the money, but I said I wouldn’t take it,” Koto Noir said. Said.
He and his family are also grateful that TikTok has connected the boys as Jarrett’s clock is ticking.
“Everything was lined up exactly like that,” Currier said. “Someone was careful and put the Caden in the right place, but it worked perfectly.”
“That is, I’m happy to help,” Koto Noir said. “that’s all.”
Koto Noir says he follows Jarrett because he loves four wheels, hunting and fishing.
They haven’t spoken on the phone before, but Koto Noir says he’s been in contact several times since the weekend incident.
