Johnson & Johnson The long-awaited US study suggested Wednesday suggests that recipients of the Covid-19 vaccine should take booster shots from Pfizer or Moderna.

A National Institutes of Health study on “mixing and matching” Covid vaccines included more than 450 adults who received one of the three regimens currently available in the United States (J & J, Moderna, or Pfizer). I did. This study has not yet been peer reviewed.

Volunteers were divided into groups and received additional shots of the original vaccine or booster from another company. Antibody levels were measured 2 and 4 weeks after the booster was administered.

Pfizer and Modana boosters seemed to be the most effective, but all combinations boosted antibody levels higher. Studies have shown that people who received either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine boosters had a four-fold increase in antibody response more often than those who received the J & J booster dose.

This study showed that recipients of the original vaccine from Moderna or Pfizer could easily replace the third dose. The result was about the same. Volunteers who received the J & J vaccine first seemed to get a better immune response when they got a Pfizer or Moderna booster.

“These data suggest that if the vaccine is approved or approved for booster immunization, an immune response will be generated regardless of the major Covid-19 vaccination regimen,” the researchers wrote in the study. I am.

The findings will be presented at the Vaccine Advisory Board of the major Food and Drug Administrations on Friday.

This is a developing story. Please check for updates.
