No COVID-related deaths, 17th time in 24 days – Tucson, Arizona

Windowlock, Arizona (AP) —Navajo Nation reported an additional 61 cases of COVID-19, with no 17th coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 days.

The latest figures released on Saturday have confirmed cases of COVID-19 due to the virus, pushing the tribal total to 36,083 since the pandemic began more than a year ago. The known death toll remains 1,471.

Health officials reported an additional 69 cases in the tribal settlement on Friday with no deaths. This is the largest in the country at 27,000 square miles. It covers parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.

Based on the case from October 1st to 14th, the Navajo Ministry of Health issued recommendations to 31 communities for the uncontrolled spread of the coronavirus.
