Sacramento (CBS13) — The beginning of an informal summer will feel like midsummer, weather forecasters say.
Excessive heat monitoring takes place on Memorial Day weekends in Sacramento Valley. Temperatures in the region are expected to be 100 degrees faster than normal.

The NWS Sacramento states that the valley’s highest value could reach 100 by Sunday.
However, Monday and Tuesday are expected to be the hottest days, with valley maximum temperatures expected to be between 100 and 108.
According to forecasters, this is the first three-digit heat wave in Northern California, and the heat is expected to continue until mid-next week.
According to the NWS, valleys typically do not reach a maximum of 100 degrees from early to mid-June. Sacramento usually sees the first 100 degrees on June 18.
