North Korea launched an unidentified projectile into Donghae on Tuesday, South Korean troops said on Tuesday.

According to NBC News, the office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (a group of chiefs from each major branch of the South Korean army) stated what kind of projectile Pyongyang fired or how far it flew. I didn’t.

The South Korean presidential office said the National Security Council would be convened to discuss the issue.

“The Cheong Wa Dae will hold a National Security Council with members of the Standing Committee of the National Security Council,” said Presidential spokesman Park Kyung-mi in a text briefing reported by NBC News.
