North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (WBTW) — The North Myrtle Beach Council resolved on Friday to revoke the State of Emergency and the Mask Ordinance on Sunday.

A special meeting was convened on Friday to decide whether to extend the state of emergency and the Mask Ordinance. Both motions have failed.

At its regular meeting on April 5, the city said Congress would consider a resolution encouraging everyone to wear masks and continue to reduce social distances.

The council encouraged everyone to consider each other’s needs and work to protect each other.

The city has already stated that after Governor Henry McMaster, masks are no longer needed in restaurants. Previously changed His requirements for nomination.
