Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV) — If you’re looking for an adorable way to track appointments and holidays and want to show support to the Nebraska Police Service Dog Division (PSD) in the process, the 2022 calendar is available. became. Featuring 15 dogs that were or were part of it.

“Our police service dog unit is doing an amazing job across our state,” said Captain Jason Scott, commander of the NSP Special Operations Executive. “The unit has so many new faces, which is a great way to introduce them to the public, and we thank the NSP Foundation for their financial support for the K9 program.”

The latest dogs to participate in NSP’s PSD are:

  • Blu – Omaha-based German Shorthaired Pointer
  • Gable – Omaha-based Marinoa, Belgium
  • Havik – Columbus-based Marinoa, Belgium
  • Jerry – Lexington-based Marinoa, Germany (named after Trooper Jerry Smith # 373)
  • Inclined – Lincoln-based Marinoa, Belgium

The NSP states: “Four of these five dogs have already been trained and certified and are already in service throughout Nebraska. Tilt, the last new addition in 2021, is now following these steps. The NSP PSD Unit trains and certifies NSP K9 and K9 for many institutions in Nebraska and Iowa at the NSP Training Academy in Grand Island. “

The calendar will feature 11 dogs currently in service and 4 dogs who retired or died this year.

NSP does not receive income from calendar sales. The dogs used by the NSP will be purchased by the Nebraska Patrol Foundation, which will use the donated funds.
