Florence, South Carolina (WBTW) – Off-duty Holly County Cops have been admitted after betting their lives to save another.
On Thursday, PFC Alexander was recognized by the Florence County Council after being in a group of six who saved two from a car sunk in a pond.
According to HCPD, two people were involved in a car accident in Florence County on October 11, resulting in a car sinking into a pond.
After the incident, PFC Alexander and five others rushed into the water, forming a human chain to save them. Their rescue operation was successful.
HCPD posted on Facebook, “I can’t be more proud of the officer’s selfless behavior. I know this is just one example of his incredible personality.”
