Columbus, Ohio (WCMH) —The Ohio Health Department has announced the latest COVID-19 cases in the state.

As of Saturday, December 4, ODH reported a total of 1,725,649 (+7,793) cases, leading to 87,696 (+192) hospitalizations and 10,887 (+19) ICU hospitalizations.

The state reported that 57.74% (6,749,734 Ohio) of the state’s population started the COVID-19 vaccination process. This is an increase of 3,505 from the previous day.

The state reported on Saturday that 58.23% of the state’s population (6,806,362 Ohio) had begun the COVID-19 vaccination process. This increased by 11,271 from the previous day.

ODH reported 0 deaths on Saturday. The state updates the number, usually twice a week, after the death certificate has been processed.

The average number of cases in 21 days is currently close to 5,943.
