Ohio license plate mistake: Banner in Wright Brothers illustration attached to wrong end of plane – Fresno, California

Fresno, California 2021-10-23 16:04:30 –

Columbus, Ohio-The debut of Ohio’s new license plate couldn’t take off-because the banner on the plate was attached to the wrong end of the Wright brothers’ historic first plane, the Wright Flyer.

The new license plate is a banner that crosses the horizon and says “The birthplace of aviation,” indicating the sun’s rays shining into the sky. However, the banner that should have been attached to the back of the plane was attached to the front.

After the unveiling, Ohio officials said in a statement that they were aware of the accident and that it would be modified to display a banner behind the plane before Ohio citizens upgrade their plates.

Ohio isn’t the only state to make this exaggerated mistake. The front of the Wright Flyer is often mistaken for the rear because the propellers of the plane were located at the rear instead of the front.

The plate will land on the market on December 29th.
