Columbus, Ohio (WJW) — Ohio Laws on Republican bills banning mandatory vaccinations in public schools and universities are underway.
Approved by both the Ohio Senate and the Ohio House of Representatives, the bill is now landing Governor Mike DeWine A desk for his consideration.
According to House Bill 244, public schools and universities cannot require anyone to get a vaccine that is not fully approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.
It also states that public schools and universities cannot discriminate against unvaccinated people by demanding that they perform different activities than those who have been vaccinated.
The bills found below also state that the ban does not apply to hospitals owned or operated by state higher education institutions.
