Mentor, Ohio (WEWS) —Halloween is just around the corner, and holiday lovers are preparing their outfits. Most of the time, kids are getting a lot of attention with cute costumes and masks, but pet owners are also preparing to spend a fortune.

“I was a bit busy, and now that we have two stores, I seem to be trying to catch up,” Brhel said. “I made ducks out of food, pumpkins and peacocks. It’s just fun. I make whatever they come up with.”
According to the National Retail Federation, the top five pet costumes are pumpkins, hot dogs, superheroes, bumblebees, and ghosts. Costume prices at Posh Pet Boutique range from $ 20 to $ 50, depending on size and amount of decoration.
Small business owners said they were excited to be busy again as sales stopped suddenly due to a pandemic. From time to time, Brhel said he wanted to give it up, but her business partner persuaded her to stick it out.
“It was a kind of vacation, as I didn’t want to say, as I didn’t count last year,” she said. “A lot of companies, such small ones, have gone out of business, but I’m grateful that they didn’t.”
