Omaha, Nebraska-Oklahoma Snurs defeated Texas A & M 5-1 on Wednesday to advance to the third College World Series final in program history (1951, 1994).

OU starting pitcher and Owasso’s alum, David Sandrin, empowered the Snurs in seven innings, hitting the best 12 batters in his career in a single walk, giving up five hits and one run.

With Jimmy Croux hitting a three-run home run in the first inning, Croux took the lead forever. OU is the best of the three championship series starting Saturday and faces either Arkansas or Olemis.

Sandrin hit the first three batters, five of the first eight batters, and ten of the first 20 batters. He ran into trouble four times when the first two batters reached the base. He then fanned Troy Crunch, Brett Minnitch and Jordan Thompson on the 12th pitch.

Texas A & M starter Ryan Prager (1-4) allowed 4 runs and 3 goals in 2 1/3 innings. Jacob Parrish went the rest of the way, giving up three hits and one run and hit eight.

Aggie’s, who lost 13-8 to OU at the CWS opener on Friday, defeated Texas and Notre Dame to advance to the bracket final. However, they couldn’t score against Sandrin until Dylan Rock hit a home run in the center left and led to 6th.

Sandrin then retired the last six batters he faced, handed over the game and approached Trevin Michael, starting the eighth.

Sooners led 3-0 in the first match of the NCAA Tournament’s Crooks’ fourth and ninth season, adding third and fifth single runs. OU is not behind in CWS games.
