Long Beach police reported on Tuesday that a man was fatally injured and a man and a woman were injured in a shootout at Long Beach.
The deceased man was identified as a 45-year-old Ravel Brandon who lives in Long Beach. According to police, the other women who suffered gunshot wounds were a 49-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man.
At around 10:45 am on Monday, February 22, police officers responded to 300 blocks on East 25th Street regarding the shooting.
Officers placed Brandon in a dwelling suffering from a gunshot wound on his upper body. According to police, a Long Beach fire department employee arrived and took him to a local hospital where he was injured, and police provided medical assistance.
Shortly thereafter, police officers contacted two other people who had self-transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. According to police, women suffered gunshot wounds on the lower body and men suffered gunshot wounds on the upper body.
Officers determined that two people were shot dead in the fatal injury of Brandon.
According to police, the detective believed that everyone involved knew each other, and the dispute between them took place on the street outside the house. The dispute is allegedly escalated to the exchange of shootouts between the two parties.
Two guns were recovered at the scene, and no prominent suspect was found, police said.
Police station spokesman Alison Gallagher said no arrests had been made and police stations are continuing to investigate the involvement of the two survivors of the gunshot wound.
