Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV) — At an open door mission on Saturday, five graduates walked across the stage to commemorate the completion of the mission’s new life recovery program.

A Bible-based 12-step program helps people fight addiction and provides counseling, therapy, and other tools to help them become self-sufficient.

The graduates gave a speech at the ceremony and thanked their loved ones for their support of the open door mission.

“I’m very excited to leave here today and start the process of repairing and rebuilding relationships with family and friends,” said one graduate. “I will continue to build relationships with Jesus Christ every day, because I know that I can remain calm as the foundation of Jesus Christ and my life.”

Representatives of the Open Door mission said the graduates are facing adversity, but they are fighters.
