Wichita, Kansas (KSNW) – Hundreds of people have poured into downtown Douglas, Delano and elsewhere to enjoy Open Street ICT.
“I’m here today because I rode my bike down the bike path and it seemed so much fun,” said Richard Finney, who was biking with his grandson Grant. “We came across this by chance. It’s a lot of fun.”
Finney was one of the hundreds who rode a bike on Sunday in Douglas.
“It’s nice to see so many people doing this,” Finney said.
Others planned to take the day to enjoy Douglas while Douglas was locked in a car.
“This is Sally on top,” said Joe Hardy, who was pedaling Delano on a double bike with her husband Jim. “It’s a great way to meet people.”
Joe and Jim enjoyed watching the dance, food, and sellers on board.
“It’s great. It’s morale. It’s good for many people in different disciplines, and it’s great for Wichita’s morale,” Jim said.
“Children, the elderly, bicycles, tricycles, dogs,” Joe said. “We live throughout Kansas and chose to live here.”
