Las Vegas (KTNV) — Early voting has begun in Nevada.
Yesterday, more than 27,000 people voted on the first day of early voting in Clark County.
Long lines at some polling stations did not discourage people from voting.
For many, this is the first time they have participated in the presidential election.

Voting is correct and many voters have had the opportunity to exercise for the first time this year. A rewarding new experience.
As a result, several groups in the Las Vegas region are helping first-time and immigrant voters understand the voting process, and their voting can make a difference in this presidential election.
Some of those groups are Nevada’s Plans and Victory Justice Nevada.
“We know there were a lot of questions about how to vote and how to make sure people are voting correctly. They know the process and as much as we can. Being able to help them. Your voice is important and your vote is important, so if you want to see the changes in your community, you have to go out and vote for this election It’s really important, “said Erica Castro.
She said she hopes to reach out to more than 200,000 voters across the state.
Ramon Elizondo was proud to vote for the presidential election for the first time in his life. He voted by mail and said he was happy to be eligible to vote now.
“Now I feel like I have all the power I need to speak up and tell people what I want,” Elizondo said.
He says he voted consciously, keeping in mind issues affecting the Hispanic community, and hopes that others who are eligible to vote will also participate.
