Join the Center for Orientation Excellence and Digital Learning Offices to attend one or both sessions of part-time faculty orientation. August 17th and 18th.

participate Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) and Digital study room One or both sessions of part-time faculty orientation. These unique sessions at ZOOM include an overview of the resources available to faculty members on the UNO campus and an overview of Canvas, UNO’s online learning platform.

These sessions are available to all new and returning full-time and part-time faculty and instructors.

Questions should be sent to the following Faculty Excellence Center:

Session 1 | Tuesday, August 17th

Learn more about UNO students and the academic and collaborative curriculum support available to create an outstanding educational experience. The Digital Learning team will demonstrate basic Canvas features (syllabus posting, course organization, initial assignment creation). Other resources that support your educational strategy will be shared. You will be offered several opportunities to ask questions and connect more with your colleagues.

Register for Session 1 | 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm

Session 2 | Wednesday, August 18th

The second session details additional support resources and Canvas. It covers Canvas’s rating features (tasks, quizzes, scoring), as well as interaction and discussion topics. Ask a question in the “Ask Me Anything” segment.
