Liberty, Ohio (WJW) — Ohio Highway Patrol We are allegedly investigating a collision between two vehicles that seriously injured multiple people early Wednesday morning.
Soldiers reported that the crash occurred on State Highway 12 in Liberty Township, Seneca County, after midnight.
A 42-year-old man was reportedly driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan along the SR-12, turning left in the center, colliding with a 2006 Kia car and heading in the opposite direction, both. I turned my car to the other side of the road. Said the trooper.
Kia was driven by an 18-year-old man carrying five passengers, two 15-year-olds and three 17-year-olds. Only the driver was wearing a seatbelt in this car.
Everyone involved in the crash was taken to hospital for various levels of injury, including two Kia passengers who died at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo.
OSHP reported that “drug use in both drivers appears to be the cause of the crash.”
