Colorado Springs, Colorado 2021-10-10 19:22:56 –

Tonight’s weather forecast:
After the storm has passed, stormy weather can occur in parts of the Southern Planes tonight, but here at home, high pressures create cold and dry nights in the area. A hard freeze warning has been issued to the San Luis Valley, which could mark the end of the growing season. In addition, the first Frost Advisory of the season has been published in the Monument and Trilakes area. Tonight’s overnight lows range from the 20s in the mountain valleys to the 30s and 40s in the plains and I-25 corridors.

Walsenberg / Trinidad: Low: 30s; high: 60’s / 70’s. The mornings are refreshing and autumn-like, with sunshine and mild maximum temperatures in the afternoon. fun!

Mountain: Low: 20’s; high: 40s / 50s. Monday, before the forecast starting on Tuesday, is a sunny day for the mountains of southern Colorado.

Expanded outlook:
Great weather on Monday will be short-lived as the next storm system moves to the state on Tuesday. This creates snow and gusts in the mountains, high fire hazards in the I-25 corridors and plains, and a heavy thunderstorm threat on the Colorado-Kanzas border. Wednesday looks dry at this point, but another obstacle can reduce the humidity and potential snow shower to 6,000 feet from Thursday evening to early Friday morning. It’s a bit too early to elaborate, but some long-haul models have snowed a few inches across the Pikes Peak region and Teller County.
