ST. Lewis County, Missouri (KMOV.com) – Dr. Sampage, an executive in St. Louis County, has signed an executive order to make single-stall bathrooms in government buildings gender-neutral.

“Employees and community members, including gender identity, gender expansion, non-binary, transgender and cisgender, deserve respect, regardless of gender identity or expression,” said the county executive page. ..

Councilor Lisa Clancy has requested a redesignation of the single stall bathroom. Page said that some employees and community members can be excluded by identifying toilets using a dual gender system.

“This is an important step in making transgender and non-binary individuals feel affirmative and welcoming to move and work within county government buildings,” said Councilor Clancy.
