Pair arrested in fentanyl/opioid distribution investigation in Carson City – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (KLAS) — The Nevada Department of Public Security issued a national warning about the surprising increase in fake prescription drugs in northern Nevada on the day the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) issued a national warning.

The warrant was issued in an investigation into suspected opioid / fentanyl distribution rings in northern Nevada and Fresno, California.

Diana Perez and Luis Perez were arrested after searching a house on September 17 about 2.5 miles from the Nevada State Assembly in Carson City. The house is located at 1200 blocks of Sonoma Way.

Accusations in two respects: selling regulated substances, possession of controlled substances (conspiracy), possession of controlled substances for sale, and possession of drug-related equipment.

According to prison records, Luis Perez will appear in court on October 6.
