Tropical Cyclone Pamela is gaining momentum in the Pacific Ocean off Mexico and should return to hurricane strength again before hitting the northern coast of Mazatlan Port on Wednesday morning, forecasters said.
Pamela weakened to a tropical depression on Tuesday afternoon. According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm concentrated about 170 miles (275 km) west-southwest of Mazatlan late Tuesday, moving northeast at 19 km / h.
The maximum wind speed of the storm was about 70 mph (110 kph).
The Hurricane Center warns of possible life-threatening storm surges, flash floods, and dangerous winds around the collision area.
The weakened wreckage of the storm may arrive in Texas by Thursday.
