The team recently completed a training camp in Lake Placid, New York, participating in both ski jumping and cross-country skiing. These two disciplines that make up the Nordic Combined. It’s all in the preparations for
this month’s Olympic trials, and the long-term goal of making big strides and jumps in Beijing.

“No one will ever see us as favorites. The United States and the Nordic Combined do not go together in this aspect. But we are still a challenger. They know that when we have good jumps, we are in the fight for the medals ”,
said Fletcher.

Fletcher and the rest of the U.S. team will meet again in Lake Placid for the Olympic Trials on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Only the winner is guaranteed a place in Beijing, along with the rest of the team.
