Panama City, FL –
FREEPORT Florida (WMBB) – Westonwood Ranch has launched its new takeoff program for the month of April.
Westonwood Ranch is a non-profit organization that supports people with autism and developmental differences.
From April they will start their new take-off program which emphasizes on-the-job training.
Executive Director Kelly Cash said the jobs help their participants create a routine and expectations for their day-to-day lives.
“This is focused on getting paid, paid employment on our ranch or in the community,” Cash said. “And so this part-time three-day-a-week program will provide job training skills with our transition to work coordinator as well as our internships, experiential learning, then placement.”
Cash said they also have summer camps coming up at the end of June and a horse camp in July.
Summer camps are open to people aged eight and over. To learn more about their programs, visit their website.
