Panama City, FL –
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) – Locals came to Panama City Beach on Friday night to have fun and support a good cause.
Kohl’s Arc of the Bay’s 5th Annual Charity Fashion Show was held at the Sheraton Panama City Beach Golf & Spa Resort, where 35 models walked the runway and showcased their fashion outfits.
This is the organization’s largest fundraising event and the money from the evening will be used to support and provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the community.
Ron Sharpe, Executive Director of the Arc of the Bay, spoke about how much fun the people at the event were having.
“They have the chance to get on the track, to express themselves and to show the world that they belong. They have the chance to go to Kohl’s, choose their own clothes, be included, be loved and cherish the moment, ”said Sharpe.
Also at the event, in honor of the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Margaret Guta was recognized for her work in the fight for the rights of people with disabilities.
