Panama City, FL – Bay District Schools gets into the holiday spirit

Panama City, FL –

PANAMA CITY Florida (WMBB) – The holiday spirit was in the air Tuesday during the Bay District Schools Old School Christmas Carols concert.

This is the fourth year that the district has organized this concert, but it is the first time that it has taken place at Papa Joe’s.

The concert featured a number of local elementary school singing groups and a special guest from Will Thompson Music, joined by elementary school principal Lynn Haven, John Cannon.

People could enjoy hot chocolate and holiday cookies. Some even bought dinner from several food trucks on site.

Whole families sang all the holiday classics, but the event wasn’t just fun.

“All donations tonight will go to our Homelessness Awareness Program so students struggling with food instability and homelessness have a little Christmas cheer,” said BDS Director of Communications, Sharon Michalik.
