Panama City, FL –
PANAMA CITY, Florida. WEATHER (WMBB) – A tropical depression is moving north, drawing moisture from the Gulf of Mexico onto the Panhandle.
Throughout Monday, showers and thunderstorms are expected with northeasterly movement. The threat level remains marginal, with the greatest risks being strong, damaging winds and isolated flash floods.
Western counties could see 1 to 2 inches or more of precipitation by the end of the day Monday, but most of the moisture will move by evening.
The summer pattern of afternoon showers and pop-up thunderstorms will return on Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures again hovering in the mid to high 80s.
The pattern becomes wetter again on Thursday with another front on the way. This front will help shed moisture just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
