Panama City, FL –
BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – FEMA and the Northwestern Florida Water Management District are updating the Bay County Flood Insurance Study.
Residents are invited to attend a flood risk open house to learn more about the study and see if the identified flood risk has changed on their property.
Officials said the study could have an impact on flood insurance requirements and prices.
In a Bay County Emergency Services Facebook post, they ask you to attend either meeting and verify your address is correct before the study is final.
The first meeting will be on Tuesday, July 20 at Mexico Beach Public Works from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the second meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at the Bay County Government Center from 4 to 7 p.m.
If you can’t make it to an open house, you can schedule a virtual date. If you want to make an appointment, click on here.
