Panama City, FL –
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WMBB) – Florida State University and Clemson will not play their game scheduled for Saturday, according to the ACC.
“The postponement follows this morning’s conference call in which medical staff from both teams were unable to agree on the continuation of the game. Both teams continue to adhere to minimum protocols outlined in the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, ”ACC officials wrote.
The teams were scheduled to play at noon in Tallahassee.
“Our first priority is the health of our student-athletes, and I appreciate the protocols that have been put in place by the FSU and the ACC to ensure the health of all while allowing us to play this season,” said Florida State coach Mike Norvell in a statement. “It’s a shame we don’t have the opportunity to compete today, but we hope to be able to play Clemson in December. I am grateful for the support and coordination between our administration, Clemson and the ACC office. Our team will now focus on welcoming Virginia next week. “
