Panama City, FL –
LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WMBB) – The first round is over and federal prosecutors and other defendants in the Lynn Haven corruption case can claim wins.
Federal prosecutors have so far charged nine people with crimes related to city projects before and after Hurricane Michael. Six of the defendants – including former city manager Mike White, former director of recreation services David Horton and, most recently, former city attorney Adam Albritton – have pleaded guilty to the charges against him. In all of these pleadings, the defendants agreed to an arrangement with federal prosecutors to exchange information “of substantial value” in return for assistance in other cases. If Judge Mark Walker agrees that they have followed the terms of the plea agreement, he may, in his sole discretion, impose lighter sentences on those who have previously pleaded guilty.
