Panama City, FL – Local foundation collecting school supplies

Panama City, FL –

CITY OF PANAMA, FLA. (WMBB) – The local Access Granted Foundation is collecting school supplies and clothing for children in need, before the Bay District school year begins on August 10. The foundation has been donating clothing and supplies to students for four years.

Founder Ashley Henderson’s goal is to collect enough supplies like pencils and backpacks to donate to 300 students, and enough clothes and shoes to donate to 100 children.

“The biggest need right now will definitely be shoes and backpacks,” said Henderson. “And preferably new clothes to distribute to students. Given the new dress code we ask that he follow these dress code guidelines so that children actually have appropriate clothing to wear to school.

Dress code requires students to wear solid color shirts without graphics for middle and high school students. While donations were dropped off at the Macedonian Baptist Church on Friday, Henderson said donors can continue to drop off supplies throughout the weekend. Henderson plans to donate the clothes and supplies to the Macedonian Baptist Church on July 31.
