OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Okaloosa MPs say a man arrested for trespassing and 911 abuse used pepper spray on three MPs and gave them a boost.
“MPs were responding to a complaint in reference to Sean Perkins, 32, who sent a makeshift camp to military property off Martin Luther King Boulevard near Fort Walton Beach,” County Sheriff officials wrote. ‘Okaloosa in a press release. “He was detained for trespassing, improper use of 911 and pedestrian violation around 6:30 am Wednesday morning. “
They added that Perkins tried to run into traffic and then used pepper spray on MPs who were working to restrain him. The deputies tased him and took him into custody.
“EMS has arrived to help decontaminate affected MPs,” officials said.
Perkins is charged with three counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence and resisting arrest without violence.
