BAY COUNTY Fla. (WMBB) – The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce Women’s Symposium is dedicated to empowering women.
This is the 11th annual chamber event.
On Friday morning, more than 300 Bay County women gathered for networking and time for the little girls.
Linsey Sisk, director of marketing and events for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, said the message of the event is to encourage women to be the best versions of themselves.
“So we love to be there to cheer on women and a day to have a work-life balance event so that we can learn the business and learn other things like having influence and being able to go to different stores and enjoy. their day, ”Sisk said. .
She said that at the Women’s Symposium, participants will have the opportunity to connect and network with other businesses and learn more about work-life balance.
Traders from all over the beach participated in the event.
“We have a variety of vendors,” Sisk said. “We have clothes, we have different hospitals, just different members of the Panama City Beach Chamber.”
Pam Tebow, the mother of Heisman Trophy winner and NFL player Tim Tebow, was the keynote speaker at Friday’s event.
She said it was exciting to see women come together and encourage them to give their best.
“I love seeing all the women here and got to talk to them about influence,” Tebow said. “This is one of my favorite subjects because I think we are created to be influential but we have to be a positive influence.”
Tebow said women have gained a lot of power in recent years.
She said having power isn’t that power isn’t enough, it all depends on how you use it.
“We need to encourage each other to find the right one each in our community to focus on that and not all of the changes we have because it’s a tough world,” Tebow said.
She said it’s not often that women have time to have fun, so she hopes the women at Friday’s event did just that.
