Panama City, FL – Panama City Police searching for suspect involved in armed robbery

Panama City, FL –

PANAMA CITY, Florida (WMBB) – Panama City Police are currently searching for an armed robbery suspect at the Fresh Scent Coin laundry at MLK Jr. Blvd and 17th St.

Police responded to a call around 7 a.m. this morning, with reports that a black man dressed in black and a white face covering approached the laundromat with a gun and demanded to ‘money.

Police said there was a fight with the store clerk and the suspect, but the suspect was able to get away with an unknown amount of money and no one was injured in the incident.

Police are currently looking for the suspect who was last seen running south in the 1700 block of Louisiana Avenue. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police use K-9s to track the individual. Police say he is a black man in his 30s and 40s, has short black hair, weighs around 210 pounds, and limps with a limp. He is dressed in black with a white face covering.

“If someone sees someone matching the description, they can call 911 or submit an anonymous tip through our 411 tip program or we have Facebook and Twitter and they can contact us that way,” Corporal said. Kristain Shaw of the Panama City Police Department.
