Panama City, FL –
PANAMA CITY, Florida (WMBB) – A local trilingual school celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month in style.
The Panama City Trilingual School, which teaches children both Spanish and Chinese, plans to hold its annual Hispanic Heritage Festival at the end of Heritage Month.
The event will feature celebrations of Hispanic cuisine, dance and music.
Teachers at the school said they were delighted to see the students rejoice in celebrating their legacy.
“I’m so excited because they can practice their Spanish… They are going to have oral presentations. It will also be in English and Spanish, so parents can understand what they are saying, ”said Jennifer Singletary, a teacher at the school. “I see how they actually learn the cultural part, which is very important to embrace it. “
The festival will take place on Friday October 15 at the school on Beach Drive.
