Panama City, FL –
A warmer model with good weather will be the main focus of the weather forecast over the next 7 days. The forecast is not without its challenges as the model becomes more active next week. This is because the models were very inconsistent from race to race. This means that confidence in the forecast is low at the moment. If you are making plans for the next 2 weeks, check the forecast often. Sunny and dry conditions will continue for the short term on Thursday as another surface high pressure system develops in the southeast and along the Gulf Coast states from overnight tonight and Thursday. As surface dew points increase throughout the rest of the day and overnight, low temperatures are expected to be 10 degrees higher than in the region, with low to mid 40’s. High temperatures will also be hot Thursday, with highs reaching the mid-1970s for many locals.
