PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) — A Lynn Haven man who stalked and harassed his ex-girlfriend took him to another level, Panama City police wrote in an arrest affidavit.
The affidavit states that Rudolph Campagna, 66, drove to the victim’s workplace on Beck Avenue and placed a rag in the fuel tank of his 2004 Ford Expedition. When she got out, he attempted to ignite the fabric and set the vehicle on fire.
“The victim managed to rip the fabric from his vehicle before the accused successfully ignited it,” police wrote.
They added that the incident was filmed by a security camera.
The incident happened on July 13. Campagna was arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with attempted arson.
