Panama City, FL –
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – If you’ve ever dreamed of being a millionaire, this could be your lucky week.
Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots now total around $ 1.3 billion.
After Wednesday night’s Powerball draw, no winner was found; the jackpot rose to $ 640 million. The Mega Millions jackpot was still $ 750 million on Thursday.
Residents and visitors to Panama City could be seen buying their tickets on Wednesday evening, hoping to win big.
“I don’t usually buy them, but my wife called and said okay, grab some tickets,” said a lottery player at Dodge’s Fried Chicken.
When asked what they would do if they won, the best answer wasn’t a new car, mansion, or yacht; the first response was to help others, be it the homeless or the family.
“I hope whoever wins this jackpot enjoys their life and takes care of others,” said another lottery player on Wednesday. “Share the wealth, pass it on.”
With no winner reported on Thursday, they will still have a chance to win as the Mega Millions draw will take place on Friday and the next Powerball draw will take place on Saturday.
