Panama City, FL – RAFGC to host charity golf tournament for humane society

Panama City, FL –

CARRABELLE, Florida (WMBB) – The Franklin and Gulf Counties Realtors Association will be hosting a charity golf tournament on Saturday.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will be donated to the St. Joseph Bay Humane Society and the Franklin County Humane Society.

“Well, basically because of the situation with COVID, a lot of events that were usually held to fund the Humane Society have been canceled. So they need financial help this year. They do a great job, being safe havens without killing, and we just thought that was something we really needed to support, ”said Gloria Salinard of the Franklin and Gulf County Realtors Association.

The event will include contests, prizes, food and an auction. One of the contests includes a hole-in-one prize of $ 10,000.

The Humane Society will also be hosting an adoption event during the golf tournament.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun. It won’t just be a golf outing, it will be an event, said Salinard. “So we hope the community will come out and have fun. We are very excited. “

If you want to participate, it’s not too late. Salinard says they have a lot of volunteers, but they still need golfers.

The charity event will take place at the St. Joseph Bay Golf Resort in Carrabelle, Florida and registration will begin at 10 am with a buffet breakfast and a putting green contest.
