PANAMA CITY, Florida WEATHER (WMBB) – Southern flow and humidity remain intact for the long term as the region begins to celebrate Independence Day weekend.
On Friday night, conditions will remain mostly dry, but isolated chances of showers or storms persist. Temperatures drop to seasonal lows, reaching into the 70s.
For the rest of the weekend, little change in the upper atmosphere, with humidity remaining the main focus of the forecast.
Saturday and Sunday will have a 50-60% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms each day.
Morning precipitation will be felt primarily along the coast, while more widespread showers and storms will extend inland for the remainder of the afternoon and evening.
High temperatures are also expected to be seasonal throughout the weekend.
The 4th of July holiday forecast will be no different, be prepared for the possibility of a few showers or storms throughout the day if you are going to be outdoors.
Low risk of flash flooding will exist in developing storms. Otherwise, impacts will be limited to gusts of wind, heavy showers and lightning.
