PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – June is this Saturday and several local organizations have planned a week full of festivities. The events kicked off tonight.
Minority PC, Northwest Florida Minority Business Chamber, Lead Coalition and others host movie nights throughout the week.
Tuesdays were held in Millville at Watson Bayou Waterfront Park. There will also be a Wednesday movie night in St. Andrews Park at 7:00 PM. Another will take place Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Glenwood.
On Friday and Saturday, the organizations will organize a festival and a parade full of live music.
“We have 28 vendors who will be there, we have a few dance teams, such as Dance Craze and Xylo Dance Studio, we have spoken word artists who will be there. We have live music from True Soul and Concrete Soul performing throughout the day, ”said Tony Bosstick, event coordinator.
Bostick says it’s important to recognize this freedom day together, especially after the year the community has had due to COVID.
