Here is who received payments in the past six weeks, according to the IRS:

  • About 1.3 million payments, valued at around $ 2.6 billion, went to eligible people for whom the IRS previously had no information to issue a payment, but who recently filed a return. income.

IRS says it will continue to make payments on a weekly basis. The IRS continues to urge taxpayers who do not normally file a tax return and have not received a payment to file a 2020 tax return to obtain these benefits.
