Panama City, FL –
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – If you were driving downtown Panama City on Wednesday night you might have heard some music, the party sound was “The Extreme Tour” making a local stop.
The goal of the organization is to unify community members around the world with concerts and entertainment events. Panama City was the penultimate stop on the East Coast tour stopover.
The free event included performances by a number of musical artists, a skate competition and prizes awarded to attendees.
Those with The Extreme Tour have said their focus is now particularly important with the COVID-19 pandemic affecting many.
“We’re trying to find places where maybe there are people who are depressed, people who are struggling, and are just going to throw a party for them where we go in their space, where they feel comfortable. They don’t have to come and find us and it’s for love, community, unity. We feel like at times like these people need it more than ever, ”said Jerry Fee, East Coast Principal of the Extreme Tour. “We’re trying to connect them together and let people in your community see maybe people they don’t normally notice and just tell them that you might feel neglected, you might feel like you’re not. not seen or valuable to people in your community, we would like to change that perspective.
The final stop on the Extreme Tour for the East Coast stage will be in Columbus, Georgia, Thursday through Sunday.
