WALTON COUNTY Florida (WMBB) – A recent TikTok social media challenge made its way to Walton and more than a dozen students are now in trouble for vandalizing school property.
The challenge is known as “The most devious lickingHe is urging middle and high school students to vandalize their schools, especially bathrooms. Walton County school superintendent Russell Hughes said 14 of his 20 schools were suspended in due to stolen and damaged goods.
Hughes sends a warning to the students. If they plan to steal or destroy school property, expect to pay the consequences.
“We’re talking about family, we’re talking about culture here,” said Hughes. “And I say to these students if you take up this challenge, be prepared for the consequences. And I tell parents if your kid is accepting this student and if you hear that and you don’t share with them, or if you aren’t aware and oblivious of what kids are doing on social media. I tell you that we are going to be strong on this. No exceptions. “
If the damage is serious enough, the charges could be a felony.
“We can’t have cameras in the bathroom, but we have cameras all over our campus, so we have ways of knowing who goes in the bathroom when and how long they stay there,” a- he declared. “And the good thing about our students is that we have students who report others. They don’t sting, they take care of their environment.
Superintendent Hughes said if you are up to the challenge be prepared for the consequences, he and his staff are serious.
