Pittsburgh (KDKA) – It’s been over a year since the COVID-19 pandemic, but many haven’t been able to pursue their favorite hobbies.
In response, it has sparked a renewed interest in collecting baseball cards, a national hobby for many.
During the pandemic, baseball card collection is more popular than ever, and some stores are out of stock.
Card shop owner Peter Basquez said: “Mom actually came and asked me to buy my own card.”
If you’re thinking of exchanging those cards for big bucks, the FBI warns that fraud is also a factor when demand is on the rise.
They also say that people should buy a card only if they enjoy it, not as an investment.
